**Please note** - Pre-school Combo is 45 minutes long. This class is a combination of Ballet, and Acro. It is designed to introduce dance and movement to younger children.

DRESS CODE

  • Pre-school Combo, Pre-ballet/Pre-Tap Combo and Ballet I:

Pale pink leotards, pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes *Pale pink skirt optional

For Tap: Black Tap shoes

  • All other levels of Ballet, including Pointe:

Black leotards, pink tights, pink split sole ballet shoes

  • Jazz/Lyrical:

Solid colored leotards, tights, jazz shoes *Black jazz pant or shorts optional

  • Hip-hop:

Dance appropriate attire. No jeans or street shoes. Must wear jazz shoes or jazz sneakers.

  • Tap:

Solid colored leotards, tights, black tap shoes
*Shorts optional

Male Dancers

  • Ballet:

White form fitted t-shirt or tank top, black tights, white ballet
shoes (must wear a dance belt)

  • Jazz/Lyrical/Tap:

White form fitted t-shirt or tank top, black gym pants or
shorts, jazz shoes

All attire is available for purchase at the studio boutique.

Hair

Ballet (all levels): Must be in a tight bun with hair pins, hairnet
(matching hair color) and hairspray **NO Exceptions**

All other Classes: Hair must be pulled back away from the face.

Studio Rules

  1. All dance bags and personal belongings are to remain in the dressing rooms until the end of class. No personal belongings are allowed on the studio floor.
  2. No street shoes on the studio floor.
  3. No food or drink allowed in the studio space. The only exception is bottled water and it must be closed.
  4. No jewelry is to be worn while dancing. Please leave it in the dressing room or do not bring it with you to class.
  5. It is mandatory that the dress code is strictly enforced. Students showing up to class with inappropriate dance attire will be asked to sit out during class. Student safety is at our utmost concern. Wearing inappropriate attire could result in an injury, so we ask that all students adhere to the dress code.
  6. Anyone showing up to class more than 5 minutes late will not be allowed in. Please do not interrupt classes that are in progress.
  7. No walking in and out of the dressing rooms until the previous class is completed.
  8. Every student will receive an I.D. Card that must be scanned before they enter their class. If an I.D. Card has been lost or stolen there will be a $5.00 charge for a replacement card. 
  9. Please make sure that all dance bags, dance shoes and dance attire have the student's name written in with permanent marker. SFDC cannot be responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings.
  10. Child Sitting Fee: There will be a $5.00 fee per every 5 minutes that a student is late being picked up from class. Please make sure that the student is pick up immediately after class.

 

OTHER GUIDELINES:

Class Placement: SFDC initially uses age as a guideline to make sure that children are in an age appropriate learning environment. However, each child advances differently and the completion of a level does not always mean advancement to the next level. The curriculum is structured so that advancement takes place based on  the skills of each individual student.

We understand that students enjoy taking class with their friends, however, everyone has different ability. We cannot move students into classes lower or higher than their skill level just for their friends. Therefore, we ask that you trust the judgment of our highly qualified instructors and support their decisions on class placement.

Refunds/Combining of classes: Classes with less than 6 students could be deleted or combined with other classes. If a class is deleted there will be a refund issued or a credit towards tuition for another class.
