South Florida Dance Company offers a level of Dance instruction unparalleled by any other studio on the Treasure Coast . The Executive Director, Brian Spector, has used his 12 years of teaching experience throughout Florida and New York to design classes that will challenge all students regardless of their level.

New students will have the opportunity to advance at a challenging but comfortable level and advanced students will  find themselves one step beyond their comfort zone therefore remaining constantly challenged.

Class Placement

Most classes are organized by age.  Using a student's age to place them in a class is only the first step to finding what classes they belong in.  Every student is at his or her own dance level and after the first few classes student may be changed to a more level appropriate class.  If at any time a parent or a student is concerned about the level that they have been placed in they are always welcome to speak to the instructor. However, it will always be at the instructor's discretion to place students in appropriate level classes.

Competition

Although we at SFDC appreciate the excitement of Dance Competitions, we do not believe the instructional sacrifices are worth the experience.  There is always the possibility that an individual instructor will choose to take a group to a competition, this would be a special exception.  South Florida Dance Company is NOT a Competition Studio.  Our focus is on quality continuous instruction.

Performances

Throughout the year SFDC students will have various performing opportunities.  Some of these opportunities will be open only to select students.  The End of the year performance will be open to all students.  SFDC is working very closely with Florida Arts and Dance Company in Stuart, the only other company on the Treasure Coast that holds the same values and standards as we do.  FADC holds auditions for performances, such as “The Nutcracker”, during the year and theses auditions will be open to SFDC students.
